Dr. Ali Shirzadi

Ali Shirzadi, MD, is a fellowship trained, board certified neurosurgeon with Ascension Medical Group Saint Thomas Howell Allen Neurosurgery. He provides care for acute and chronic pathologies of the brain, spine, and peripheral nerves to patients over the age of 16.
Dr. Shirzadi has a special interest in the comprehensive treatment of brain tumors, vascular abnormalities, and spinal disorders including adult spinal deformity, tumors, spinal trauma, and minimally invasive spinal surgery. He is a firm believer in integrating cutting-edge technology, evidence based care, and a personalized, patient-centric experience to achieve excellent surgical outcomes.
Dr. Shirzadi earned his medical degree from Texas Tech School of Medicine where he graduated with honors. He completed his neurological surgery and fellowship in complex and minimally invasive spinal surgery at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles where he was formally awarded for excellence in patient care and education. He was fortunate enough to train with nationally renowned surgeons involved in the forefront of neurological surgery who recognized that surgical management should only be pursued when necessary. He remains inspired by the strength displayed by his patients and their family members.
Outside of the office, Dr. Shirzadi enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and boating.
