About Dr. Gregory Lanford
Dr. Lanford is a native of Memphis, Tn but has called Nashville home for 35 years. He attended medical school at the University of Tennessee and completed his Neurosurgery residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 1991.
He has always had a passion for medicine, having worked in a hospital setting since the age of 14. Dr. Lanford loves the satisfaction derived from making a difference in his patients’ lives. He also greatly enjoys spending time with his two adult children and twin granddaughters as well as playing golf. Watching college football, basketball and the Nashville Predators are also among his favorite pastimes.
Dr. Lanford was been President of Howell Allen Clinic from 1997 through 2022 and has lectured nationally as well as internationally on the business of Neurosurgical practice. He is considered a key opinion leader by his neurosurgical peers as well as the industry in this scope of medical practice.
Though he has extensive experience in brain and spine surgery, Dr. Lanford has become increasingly focused on the spinal care of patients. He is one of the most experienced robotic spine surgeons in the Southeast.
